Taking game-day rivalry to a different level, six Philadelphia groups made fun bets with Kansas City partners. Their wagers blend team pride with helping the community, leading to cool challenges between the competing cities.

The zoos put their mascots on the line. If the Chiefs win, their colors go up on Philly’s elephant statue. If the Eagles win, KC’s polar bear gets decked out in green and white. Both zoos will donate $50 for each point scored to help save endangered animals through the Association of Zoos and Aquariums.

Two big children’s hospitals joined the action. Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia is going head-to-head with Children’s Mercy Kansas City to see who can raise $15,000 before kickoff.

In the Huddle to End Hunger Challenge, Philabundance takes on Harvesters. Both food banks are collecting donations until midnight February 10 to help feed local families in need.

The playoff-long Shelter Showdown continues between PAWS and Great Plains SPCA. These animal groups are competing to raise more money while getting pets adopted.

The art world has big stakes too. The Philadelphia Museum of Art bet a special painting against the Nelson-Atkins Museum, where the losing city sends artwork to the winner.

These city matchups keep up a longtime Super Bowl tradition. When the big game approaches, local landmarks make fun bets that grab everyone’s attention.

The Super Bowl brings attention to these important causes, turning sports excitement into community help. While teams battle it out on the field, cities work together to help those who need it.
