The city and the team held a press conference on Tuesday (2/11) to announce details for the Philadelphia Eagles’ Super Bowl LIX Victory Parade.

Yesterday it was confirmed the parade would take place on Friday, February 14th.

Officials also confirmed the parade will be a “celebration spanning from the stadium complex in South Philadelphia to the iconic steps of the Philadelphia Museum of Art.”

Within hours of the announcement, hotels along the believed route and downtown were almost all sold out.

The Philadelphia Eagles returned to a hero’s welcome yesterday, greeted by enthusiastic fans at both the airport and the Novacare Center. Judging by the turnout for the 2018 parade and the crowds yesterday, Friday’s parade is expected to draw massive crowds along the route. Additionally, the superintendent of the School District of Philadelphia announced all schools in the district will be closed on Friday giving many kids and teachers the perfect opportunity to join in the celebration.

Parade Timeline:

The parade will kick off at 11 am and will travel north on Broad towards the Art Museum, past City Hall and LOVE Park. There will be 16 jumbotron screens along the route. Sensory-friendly resources will be available as well.

School buses will transport special guests and open-air buses will transport the team.

The parade will arrive at the Art Museum around 12:30p-1p. The ceremony will begin around 2p and will conclude at 3:15p.

Officials are expecting over a million people to descend along the parade route to celebrate.

Eagles President, Don Smolenski, said on behalf of the team to all those who bleed green, “Thank you.”

The Mayor reiterated, “Be safe and careful as you celebrate.”

SEPTA

The Market-Frankford Line and the Broad Street Line will offer free rides for the parade. These lines will operate express-style services, with trains running every 6-8 minutes.

Please note that most stations will be closed. Additional SEPTA plans will be released tomorrow (2/12).

To avoid congestion, consider spacing out your return trip after the parade ends.
