Philadelphia Eagles fans are flocking to the Big Easy for the Super Bowl, and one New Orleans brewery is preparing to welcome Eagles fans with a rousing celebration.
The Zony Mash Beer Project co-owner Adam Ritter — a dedicated Eagles fan — is assembling his team to host several events and welcome fans with authentic New Orleans culture and bonding through Philly roots as they cheer on the Eagles.
“I get to essentially bridge my two homes where I’m from, and my friends are from there and who will hopefully come down and enjoy all the culture and the heritage that we get to enjoy on a daily basis,” Ritter told CBS News Philadelphia in an interview. “And we get to share that with all the Philadelphian fans.”
While the brewery will welcome fans during the week leading up to the Super Bowl, the big event will be a ticketed tailgate planned for 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 9. Ritter said the party will be a New Orleans-themed affair complete with Mardi Gras floats and jambalaya.
Kerry Lauricella, a tailgate sponsor, hopes Eagles fans will enjoy an unforgettable experience of camaraderie with a dose of Southern hospitality.
Zony Mash Beer Project opened in New Orleans in 2019 inside a historic movie venue only minutes from the Caesars Superdome. Before relocating to New Orleans, Ritter launched and operated several businesses in the Philadephia area, including Sidecar Bar & Grille at 22nd and Christian streets. He is a Temple University graduate originally from Cherry Hill, New Jersey.
