Christmas is long past, but Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts is holding on to the spirit of giving.
Ahead of his team’s Super Bowl LIX matchup with the Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday, Feb. 9, Hurts gave each of his teammates a pair of custom Beats headphones. The Studio Pro headphones feature the word NOLA along with a fleur-de-lis image in Mardi Gras-themed colors, as seen in photos shared by NFL insider Jordan Schultz in the Bleacher Report. Hurts has maintained an endorsement deal with Beats since he became a Heisman Trophy finalist for Alabama.

This gift isn’t the first that Hurts has given to his fellow Birds. A ClutchPoints report noted that Hurts collaborated with teammate Saquon Barkley to buy golf carts for the Eagles’ offensive linemen before Christmas. The sides of the carts featured the players’ names and numbers on them.
These gifts are one way Hurts has demonstrated his ability to reach out and connect with his teammates. During the Eagles’ offseason in 2024, All-Pro offensive tackle Lane Johnson told “The Rich Eisen Show” that Hurts was taking a “more vocal” approach to leadership.
“Just this offseason, he’s really done a good job of bonding with his teammates,” Johnson said. “I feel like the connection has definitely grown. A really big offseason. The work ethic has never been an issue. Tremendous worker. But (he’s) just becoming a more vocal leader. … Him reaching out to guys, and creating these bonds in the offseason … He’s gone out of his way to connect with his teammates, and we’ve felt that.”
