Sweets for Eagles’ Success Come From This Philadelphia Pastry Shop

Long before the sun rises, the team of bakers at Loretta’s on Second Street in Philadelphia’s Society Hill neighborhood has been hard at work baking treats for the Philadelphia Eagles. Sweets from Loretta’s have been fueling the team for the past several years.

Owner Kelsey Bush recounted to FOX 29 News Philadelphia how she received the Eagles food and beverage manager’s request to provide baked goods for the team several years ago. “We were like, yeah, absolutely, we’ll do it!” she said.

Since then, Bush and her sister business, Bloomsday Restaurant, have supplied the Eagles with almond croissants, her version of cherry pop tarts, and cinnamon rolls when the Birds play at Lincoln Financial Field.

Bush and her family, all Keystone State natives, are Eagles fans at heart. Bush claims that her brother is convinced the team’s success at home is due to the homemade pastries the players receive on game day.

So, who eats the most from Loretta’s baked goods deliveries? “Rumor has it [offensive tackle] Jordan Mailata has done the most of that,” she said.

Bush added that she and her team have been honored to serve the Eagles. Even if the team asked for her desserts to be delivered to New Orleans for Super Bowl LIX, Bush confirmed she’d find a way to make it happen.
