Eagles Fans Set New record For Super Bowl merchandise Sales

No one will ever accuse Philly fans of not caring enough. But on the heels of the Super Bowl victory, Eagles fans proved they care more than any other fanbase. Because we just set a new record for Super Bowl merchandise sales in the first 24 hours after the game according to Fanatics.

I have not seen specifics on exactly how much merchandise has been sold so far. But just go walk around the area, and you will see that there is a lot of gear being bought. Everyone has either bought something online or made a run to their local store to get some gear. Hats, shirts, sweatshirts, pennants, bumper stickers, all of it is being pushed, and many stores can’t even keep up with the demand.

There was some worry back in 2018 that after the first Super Bowl, maybe we would go complacent as a fanbase. That getting 1 would make us content, and we would lose our trademark fire. Turns out it just made us hungry for more. As much gear as was sold for that first win, the second time not only topped that, but they topped every championship team in American sports since Fanatics opened its doors.

The record is just for the Fanatics, which is owned by Michael Rubin who was born in Philly and is an Eagles fan. So it does make sense that a Philly team would be the one to set the record.

Who knows how big the number is if you include the local sporting goods stores or the Pro Shop? But what is clear is how excited this city is that the Lombardi Trophy coming back to its rightful home. With the Parade coming up Friday, surely that new gear will come in handy.
