Super Bowl 59 is something Eagles fans are never going to forget. It was full of unforgettable plays on offense and defense. But which plays were the most unforgettable? Which ones will we be playing several years again like the Philly Special or Brandon Graham’s strip sacks?

In terms of unlikely heroes, Jahan Dotson was high on the list. He was hardly a factor in the Eagles’ offense this season after they traded a 3rd round pick for him. But he got his moment in the Super Bowl. At first, we thought this was a TD. On further review, he was down at the 1-yard line. So the Eagles went to old reliable and got in with the Tush Push. But this play, along with the erased AJ Brown catch that was a similar play from the previous drive, let us know this Eagles passing game came to play.
Two Sacks In A Row

The Chiefs’ OL had no hope of stopping the Eagles DL. That became abundantly clear in the 2nd quarter when the Eagles sacked Mahomes two times in a row. From this point on, Mahomes looked more rattled than we have ever seen him. And immediately after these two sacks, this next play happened.
Cooper DeJean Celebrates His Birthday In Style

What is better playing in the Super Bowl on your Birthday? Scoring a TD that helps your team win the Super Bowl on your Birthday. Cooper DeJean did not have an interception before the game. His first was a pick 6 in the Super Bowl. Things don’t get much better than that. For a long time in this game, Cooper DeJean had more yards than the Chiefs offense had.
AJ Brown Adds On Before Half

A couple of drives later, Zack Baun made a diving catch to get the Eagles 2nd interception of the game. 2 plays later, AJ Brown put an exclamation point on the first half. A perfect throw by Jalen, a perfect catch from Brown. It was at this point Eagles fans started could stop worrying about some magical Mahomes comeback. They had whooped them all half, but this was the point where it was abundantly clear just how outmatched the Chiefs were.
Avonte Maddox Makes A Play
Turnover on downs. Eagles take over!

No one expected Avonte Maddox to have much of an impact in this game. he was replaced by Cooper DeJean at the bye week, and that was what led to the big turnaround for this defense. So when he had to come in for DeJean for a couple of plays, there was some worry he might get picked on. Not much, because the Eagles were up 27-0, but a bit of worry.
Turns out, Maddox had something left in the tank. On 4th down. He jumped the route in front of DeAndre Hopkins, got the PBU, and sent the Chiefs back to their sideline.
Devonta Smith Puts The Final Nail In The Coffin
JALEN TO DEVONTA DEEP TOUCHDOWN!

At 27-0, the game was already over. But if there was any doubt, Jalen Hurts and Devonta Smith ended it. After the Eagles’ defense forced a turnover on downs, the Eagles came back onto the field. You would think they are going to run the ball and bleed the clock. That was not what the Eagles had in store. On the first play, Hurts threw it up to Smith, and suddenly it was 34-0, and from that point on it was over.
Milton Williams Strip Sack

There were a lot of sacks in the game. So which ones do you pick? How about the one that was not only a strip sack but saw Jalen Carter light up Mahomes? It was William’s second sack of the game. No Eagles Super Bowl win is complete until there is a strip sack. Brandon Graham obliged the first time, and Williams got it done this time.
The game was already over. This was the epitome of The Simpsons “Stop He Is Already Dead,” meme. It was the icing on the cake. It was the moment where the Eagles could pull their starters, and kick their feet up.
